Combining regional partner expertise with basic and applied research capacity, we’re creating a globally competitive hub for innovation and research at UBC. From ideation to factory floor, UBC’s Innovation Precinct will provide high-impact industry partners with an opportunity to co-locate on campus and gain direct access to world-class researchers and state-of-the-art facilities to solve real world challenges. Our approach to identifying and working with industry and community partners is rooted in our core belief that we can achieve more together.

Research Collaboration

UBC researchers partner with industry, government and non-profit organizations to share expertise, capacity and infrastructure and help each other grow, innovate and become internationally competitive. The University-Industry Liaison Office (UILO) supports interaction between the University, industry and other community partners in a variety of ways, including:

• research partnerships that investigate areas of mutual interest;
• the commercialization, distribution and dissemination of research outputs; and
• the development of entrepreneurial talent and new venture creation.
